Abstract

Abstract

The article titled Models of Lexical Innovations in English examines the mechanisms of the formation of new words and expressions in modern English, as well as the linguistic models that condition this process. The main goal of the work is to determine the ways in which the vocabulary of the language is enriched and how these innovations are stabilized in the language. The article analyzes the structural features of morphological innovations, blending, and merging, which are the most active in modern times. A model of semantic changes is also presented, and the explanation of the expansion and contraction of the meaning of existing words is also examined in the article. The results of the study show that the English language is not a static system, but a living mechanism in constant development, flexibly responding to the needs of society. The study of these models allows us to predict the future lexical landscape of the language. Keywords: lexical, innovation, model, meaning, semantic, morphological
