Abstract

Abstract

The paper is devoted to the study of methods and practical application of parameterization for developing design documents in CAD systems. The principles of building associative links between the geometry of parts and design documentation are described in detail. The implementation process is described, which includes the development of standardized templates when working with different types of parts. The examples show that the implementation of the proposed approach makes it possible to reduce the time for the release of design documents by up to 90%, as well as to guarantee 100% synchronization of the design data of parts at all stages of the project. The proposed method allows for end-to-end traceability when products change. The practical significance of the paper is confirmed by examples of implementing COMPASS-3D in CAD system. The results of the study show that parameterization is an important step in CAD systems, transferring the development of design documentation into an automated control mode for the parameters of the part being developed.
