The chemistry of corroles has experienced a resurgence in recent years and has gained importance for potential applications in catalysis, as chemical sensors, and as therapeutics in medicine. This is due to the versatility of corroles in forming stable complexes with a wide variety of transition metal ions, thereby exhibiting diverse properties. To enhance the activity of the molecules, post-functionalization is required, which can present synthetic challenges. This paper describes a very simple method for synthesizing a variety of functionalized corrole molecules from an easily synthesized corrole via a Suzuki-Miyaura cross-coupling reaction. The yields range from 42 % to 96 %. Furthermore, first investigations of intramolecular interactions with the corrole core were performed.
