Abstract
Resumen Este artículo analiza los discursos y estéticas que configuraron una política de la maternidad durante el franquismo. En la primera parte, se atiende a diversos dispositivos de legitimación y control, entre ellos la Sección Femenina, el discurso médico y las publicaciones periódicas destinadas a las mujeres, así como a la instrumentalización biopolítica del cuerpo femenino. En la segunda parte se examina la novela Una mujer llega al pueblo (1957), de Mercedes Salisachs, donde la maternidad ilegítima aparece ligada a la culpa, la vigilancia del pueblo y, finalmente, la condena. Como cierre, se plantea la pervivencia de estos imaginarios maternos en los discursos de las nuevas derechas españolas del siglo xxi .
