Abstract

Abstract

This study looks at how news changing from traditional news stories to news that is driven by hashtags on the internet. The researchers used a method to review and combine the results of fifteen studies about news in print on the radio and television and on social media. Headlines are still important because they help people understand what is going on and they are trusted. Hashtags are becoming really powerful because they help people see what is happening and join in on the conversation. The study shows that people are no longer just reading the news they are now actively taking part in creating it sharing it and talking about it on the internet. Not everyone has the same access to the internet and this is causing problems. People who have money, education and know how to use the internet are more likely to be able to use digital news. The change from news to digital news is not happening evenly and we can still see both types of news existing together. This study used a theory that says people use media to get what they want. It shows that people like using the internet because they can interact with others make their own choices and express themselves. This study helps us understand how news is changing how people are responding to it and what the problems are with news. The results of this study are useful for people who work in news make policies teach and do research. The study of news media is important because it helps us see how news is changing and how we can make sure that everyone has access to the news they need.
