Abstract

Abstract

This article argues that the spatial strategies developed by Jews in the post-war period provide insight into debates surrounding diasporic Jewish identities, Jewish agency, and their representation in wider society. Through an analysis of case studies in The Hague and Rotterdam, it maps a spectrum of Jewish spatial strategies, ranging from the reconstruction of historic Jewish spaces to Jewish participation in urban renewal policies.
