Dr. Marcedes “Dr. Sadie” Butler, Managing Director of Youth Programming for the Youth College and Career Readiness Programs in the College of Education at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and Dr. Rosalind “Dr. Roz” Conerly, Associate Dean and Karr Family Director of the Black Community Services Center at Stanford University, presented last year at the NCORE conference in New York City. Their presentation focused on mentorship for Black women administrators in academia and how they supported one another through their doctoral programs at the Rossier School of Education at the University of Southern California, learned from their mentors, built systems to support others, and continue to mentor those coming up behind them.
