Abstract
Abstract
This bibliographic review aims to analyze the effectiveness of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) systems when implemented during early intervention in young children (0–6 years) with ASD. A systematic search was conducted in PubMed, UNED Library, and Scopus using specific inclusion criteria, resulting in the selection of 10 relevant studies. The results indicate that early use of AAC systems improves communication, expressive language, and social interaction in most participants. These findings highlight the relevance of early AAC implementation and the need to involve families and educators in the process to enhance generalization and reduce behavioral problems.
