Partiendo de la importancia de la imagen autorial del cantautor español Joaquín Sabina y del análisis contextual de las formas de narración intradiegética de sus canciones-relato, este artículo examina el uso de la autoficción en sus letras. El estudio, uno de los pocos dedicados a esta cuestión, muestra que Sabina recurre mayoritariamente en sus canciones a la identidad autor-narrador-personaje y que esa asociación se apoya a menudo en una identificación nominal implícita a la que contribuyen notablemente su imagen autorial y el hecho de que ubique esas historias en una zona de indeterminación entre veracidad y verosimilitud. Asimismo, se argumenta que la autoficción sabiniana debe entenderse siempre desde el plano de la ficción literaria, incluso cuando activa una fuerte sospecha autobiográfica en el receptor.
