The National Library of Spain houses in its collections of drawings and prints a drawing of the personification of Peace, whose authorship and dating have thus far been attributed to either an anonymous 17th-century work or a copy of Taddeo Zuccari. This paper analyzes the drawing of Peace located in the National Library of Spain's collection, which originated from the José de Madrazo Collection, and compares it with a fresco of Peace on the Monumental Staircase of the Palazzo Grimani a Santa Maria Formosa in Venice, painted by Federico Zuccari in the 1660s. Although executed with different techniques and supports, both works are closely linked by sharing the same compositional patterns and forms characteristic of Federico Zuccari's style. Similarly, the paper explores the relationship between the drawing in the National Library of Spain and the fresco in the Palazzo Grimani, and a drawing attributed to Federico Zuccari belonging to the Royal Collection Trust.
