Abstract

Abstract

Reduced-activation steels are key candidate materials for fusion reactor blankets, but neutron irradiation degrades their mechanical properties. In this study, molecular dynamics simulations were performed to investigate 100 keV Fe PKA-induced damage evolution and post-irradiation tensile behavior in gradient nanocrystalline Fe-9Cr alloy. As the gradient coefficient (g) increased to 1.2, peak defect yield and stable residual defects decreased, indicating that a moderate gradient suppresses defect formation and promotes recovery. At g=1.2, ∆σMax and ∆σf were 0.17% and -0.77%, respectively, while α and U changed minimally, demonstrating excellent irradiation-resistant mechanical stability through continuous grain-boundary deformation, homogeneous shear strain, and dislocation motion.
