Abstract

Abstract

In this annex, we present the Spanish translation of the text of an anonymous fifty-six-page booklet written in French, containing seventy-five topics on customs, institutions, and beliefs in Algiers in 1910, from the general archives of the General House of the Society of Missionaries of Africa, «White Fathers». The most important topics covered are birth and childhood, education, marriage, makeup, tattooing and body care, clothing, greetings, and courtesy formulas. We accompany the translation with an introduction and explanatory notes.
