Abstract
Abstract
Currently, in modern educational conditions, there is a need to study the peculiarities of mental and speech development in children with intellectual disabilities. This article provides a detailed analysis of the problem of studying the formation of self-concepts in preschool children with intellectual disabilities in Russian and foreign pedagogy. The focus is on the study of the doll as a means of developing self-concepts in this specific group of children. The article also explores the challenges associated with improving methods and techniques for fostering proper self-concepts. An empirical study of the development of self-perception and self-awareness through the image of a doll was conducted at the State Budgetary Institution of the Kaliningrad Region «Boarding School», Reacenter-Kaliningrad Limited Liability Company. The study implemented a personality-oriented approach in the correctional and pedagogical process. This article is intended as a recommendation.
