At present, research on the organization of overhead radio communication using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) is of particular interest. A new step in the development of radio communication technology was the use of UAV repeaters, which make it possible to quickly provide the possibility of reliable, highly efficient, noise-protected radio communica-tion of the required quality in conditions when it is impossible or inexpedient to use other means of communication. With the help of the FEKO program, CST Suite, a computer simulation of the overhead communication line with repeat-ers located on quadrocopters hovering above the earth's surface was carried out. Dependences of electrotrical field in-tensity on distance, formed by repeater of one quadcopter depending on hovering height, and corresponding power at output of receiving antenna of the other, are calculated. Calculations are made for the average frequency of the operat-ing range (3.5 GHz) with a radiation power of 350 mW. The relationship between the communication range and the information transfer rate and the height of the quadcopter hang is established. Characteristics of a modern real-time kinematics system for the drone are presented, confirming the feasibility of implementing a ground-based rapidly de-ployable communication line using UAVs suspended at a specified height
