Abstract
Abstract
The article provides a comprehensive study of how international economic relations affect structural, price, spatial, and institutional transformations in global markets for resources, goods, and services. The research is relevant because of the simultaneous strengthening of economic interdependence, geoeconomic fragmentation, tariff and non-tariff restrictions, digitalization, competition for critical resources, and global value chain vulnerability. The article aims to systematize the channels through which international trade, capital movements, transnational corporations, monetary and financial relations, international migration, technology exchange, and global regulation influence markets for resources, merchandise, and services. The study applies systemic, structural-functional, comparative, and dynamic analysis, generalization, grouping, and logical modeling. The empirical base draws on materials from the WTO, UNCTAD, the IMF, the World Bank, the IEA, and the OECD. International economic relations affect global markets through trade-regulatory, investment-production, monetary-financial, logistics, technological-digital, labor, environmental, and geopolitical channels. In 2025, global trade in goods and commercial services reached about USD 34.9 trillion, while services rose to 27.5 percent. At the same time, the concentration of foreign direct investment, export restrictions on critical minerals, rising energy prices and the reconfiguration of production networks intensified asymmetries in access to resources and technologies. Contemporary developments are interpreted not as complete deglobalization but as a transition towards selective interdependence, regionalization and risk-oriented diversification. The paper proposes directions to strengthen global market resilience, including multilateral coordination, supply diversification without excessive autarky, deeper services trade, digital interoperability, transparent resource chains, and integrating environmental and social effects into international exchange policies. Keywords: international economic relations, global market, resources, goods, services, international trade, global value chains, geoeconomic fragmentation, digitalization, critical minerals.
