Abstract
Abstract
Recent years have seen thousands of registration cases – based on forged documents – of vehicles originating from Italy that have never entered the Polish territory. This organized scheme has been driven solely by the difference in expenses related to the insurance and use of such vehicles between both countries, and the costs thereof are entirely borne by the Polish insurance market. The Polish Motor Insurers’ Bureau is carrying out intensive and coordinated measures aimed at limiting and, in the longer term, eliminating this type of abusive practices.
