Acompañar, discernir e integrar la fragilidad: Lectura moral del capítulo VIII de Amoris laetitia

Angel Galindo García

Estudio Agustiniano | Sep 3, 2026

Abstract

Abstract

This contribution reflects on Chapter Eight of the Apostolic Exhortation Amoris Laetitia, analyzing two fundamental proposals: the various forms of discernment in the internal forum regarding the decisions of persons in morally complex situations, and the sacramental internal forum in relation to (civilly) divorced and remarried persons; as well as the development from Familiaris Consortio 84 to the aforementioned Chapter Eight. It offers a theological analysis of accompaniment based on a comprehensive reading of the Exhortation and presents the theological reasons found in the traditional theological tradition for interpreting practical situations in light of the aforementioned Exhortation.
