Tourism has established itself as a strategic sector owing to its ability to boost rural economies and strengthen territorial identities. In Colombia, the recognition of the Coffee Cultural Landscape has promoted coffee tourism as an alternative for sustainable development. The province of Sumapaz holds advantages associated with its biodiversity, coffee tradition and proximity to Bogotá, although it faces limitations in the articulation between market, supply and governance. This study proposes an analytical model for the configuration of sustainable tourism routes, integrating demand, productive capacities and governance as the basis of regional competitiveness. A mixed-methods approach was adopted in three phases: factor analysis and demand segmentation, characterisation of farms according to sustainability criteria, and analysis using structural equation modelling. The results demonstrate the structuring role of coffee, conditioned by price and travel time, supporting the viability of the Cafencia route. The study contributes a replicable model that articulates market, territory and sustainability.
