Abstract

Regular calibration and certification of inspection equipment according to ISO or ASME standards is a key feature to establish high reliable services of challenging NDE operations in the field. As a long-time established supplier of NDE equipment, Waygate Technologies comes up with the extensive experience from 77 years of instrument and probe manufacture in an ISO 17025 certified calibration lab. Due to the fast turnover times required nowadays and the extended scope of measurements, in particular for multichannel Phased Array devices, localized calibration services in the manufacturers facility only cannot keep track any more. To face the challenges, Waygate Technologies has developed a de-centralized big-data approach: measurement data collected at manufacturing and service sites—including customer locations—along with calibration reports and certificates, are systematically stored and indexed within a secure, globally accessible cloud database. Centralized data management and automation minimize error rates and downtime, while strict access controls, encrypted connections, and backup policies ensure data security and compliance with ISO and PII/EU regulations. The complete system is connected to the Waygate ERP systems via Mulesoft APIs, so with the completion of the measurement, automatically the shipment of the report to the customer is triggered. Th
