This study aimed to substantiate the benefits of Learning and Knowledge Technologies (LKTs) as mediators of learning and cognitive development in 4-year-old children at an educational unit in Ambato, Ecuador. A quantitative approach with an explanatory-correlational scope was adopted. The sample consisted of 24 teachers and 20 children. The results show that digital tools such as Genially, Powtoon, Educaplay, and Liveworksheets fostered increased motivation, curiosity, attention, and satisfaction in the children, helping to improve autonomy, memory, comprehension, and logical reasoning. In conclusion, LKTs constitute an effective means to enhance comprehensive cognitive development in early childhood education.
