Abstract
Abstract
In the current conditions of economic instability, global transformations, wartime challenges, and growing uncertainty, ensuring the sustainable functioning of enterprises is becoming increasingly important. The dynamism of the external environment, technological changes, market instability, shifts in demand, and disruptions to supply chains necessitate the improvement of logistics process management. Under such conditions, logistics management serves as an integrated mechanism for coordinating and optimizing material, financial, informational, and other flows. The article examines the theoretical foundations of logistics management and its role in ensuring enterprise efficiency and adaptability. Its consideration as an integrated system for managing flow processes aimed at ensuring their coordination, continuity, and rational use of resources is substantiated. Particular attention is paid to the digitalization of logistics, modern monitoring and analytical tools, and information support for managerial decision-making. The integration of ESG principles into the logistics management system is examined based on an analysis of the non-financial reporting of DHL Group, Maersk, DB Schenker, Kuehne+Nagel, and FedEx. Using content analysis, cross-case analysis, SWOT analysis, and conceptual modeling, 67 ESG initiatives were systematized according to environmental, social, and governance components. The study substantiates the feasibility of transitioning to an integrated logistics management model that combines economic efficiency, digitalization, resilience, and ESG orientation, contributing to enterprise adaptability, optimization of flow processes, and long-term sustainability. These approaches are aimed at strengthening the alignment of logistics decisions with the overall enterprise management system and improving resource utilization. Their practical application contributes to the formation of a flexible logistics system capable of effective functioning in a changing and risk-prone environment. A systemic approach to combining digital tools and ESG practices expands the enterprise’s capacity to manage risks and respond promptly to changes in the logistics environment. This creates conditions for improving the quality of managerial decisions, strengthening competitive positions, and ensuring sustainable enterprise development in the long term.
