The article examines the role of teaching the fundamentals of electrocardiography in the formation of professional competencies of mid-level medical specialists.The relevance of the topic is substantiated the high prevalence of cardiovascular diseases, the significant frequency of emergency conditions in clinical practice, and the need for timely detection of critical cardiovascular abnormalities.Under current healthcare reform conditions, the role of nurses and paramedics in the primary assessment of patients, screening procedures, triage, and ensuring continuity of medical care is steadily increasing.In this regard, basic knowledge of electrocardiography and skills in electrocardiogram interpretation acquire particular importance in the professional training of mid-level healthcare personnel.The aim of the study was to substantiate the feasibility of in-depth study of practical electrocardiography, to determine effective approaches to its teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate stages of education, and to summarize the authors' own teaching experience in training students and participants of thematic advanced training courses.The paper analyzes modern approaches to teaching electrocardiography and identifies typical difficulties arising during the educational process and practical application of ECG interpretation skills by mid-level medical personnel.It was established that the traditional approach, focused mainly on theoretical material and technical aspects of ECG recording, does not provide a sufficient level of practical readiness among healthcare workers.The effectiveness of an algorithm-based and clinically oriented educational approach is demonstrated.This approach is based on the use of typical clinical situations, step-by-step ECG analysis, repeated practical tasks, and the development of skills for recognizing emergency conditions.The generalization of the authors' pedagogical experience indicates that in-depth study of practical electrocardiography contributes to the development of clinical thinking, improvement of professional competence, and readiness of future specialists
