Abstract
The paper “Economic and Social Aspects of Small and Medium Business Development in Georgia” reviews the essence, economic significance and main directions of development of small and medium businesses. The study discusses the theoretical foundations of small and medium businesses, their role in the country’s economic growth, employment promotion and the formation of a competitive environment. The paper analyzes the current state of small and medium business development in Georgia, state support mechanisms, existing challenges and development prospects. Special attention is paid to access to financial resources, the introduction of innovations and digital technologies, regional development issues and opportunities for integration into international markets. The study identifies the main factors hindering the development of small and medium businesses and presents recommendations aimed at improving the business environment, promoting entrepreneurship and accelerating the country’s economic development.
