Abstract

Abstract

The article examines conflict as a central category of drama poetics. It discusses the types of conflict, the concept of collision, and the role of the intensity of conflict in determining the nature of dramatic genres. The study demonstrates that the same core conflict can reach either a tragic or a comic resolution depending on the balance of opposing forces, and that conflict, by linking dramatic action to social content, shapes both the genre and the artistic unity of a play.
