Abstract
Beginning with the outbreak of Israel's war against the Palestinians in 1947, Zionist plans to ethnically cleanse Palestine have proceeded apace. Since the attacks launched from Gaza on 7 October 2023, Israel has accelerated itsstrategy to annex the West Bank and to reduce the size of its Palestinian population. Violent settlers have been the sharp tip of Israel's settler–colonial spear deployed to take over morePalestinian homes and real estate, expanding Israel's territorial control. Two personal stories illustrate the violence used by Jewish settlers to continue Israel's ‘Judaisation’ plans in Masafer Yatta and the Bedouin village of Rashaiyda.
