Abstract

The aim of Present study is to find out the Factors influencing learning and skill development of employees in the manufacturing firms of Andhra Pradesh. Employee learning is crucial to improving productivity and competitiveness in an organization with the fast pace of technological development and changing work places. Some critical organizational factor mentioned in the study is training and development, organizational support, technological support, employee motivation and career growth opportunities and leadership support which influence the learning and growth of the employees. The type of the research used in the study was descriptive and analysis research in which the subjects of the study were 145 workers who were analysis using simple random sampling technique. The data collection was done by using structured questionnaire and statistical analysis by using descriptive analysis, reliability test, correlation, ANOVA and regression was carried out using SPSS. The results indicated that all the organizational factors were positively significant related to employee learning and skill building and the highest coefficient of them was employee motivation. The selected variables demonstrated a strong explanatory power as the regression model only accounted for 68.2% of the variance in learning and skill development. The study thus recommends the importance of improving motivational techniques, leadership and training programmes to encourage the continuous learning and acquire competencies among their workforce.
