This article seeks to identify the hands involved in the writing of the manuscript cancionero SA4 ―manuscript 2139 of the Biblioteca General Histórica of the University of Salamanca―, with the aim of deepening our understanding of its origins. To this end, we began by identifying a series of letters that appeared consistently in different sections of the codex. Subsequent comparison allowed us to isolate the areas of intervention of each of the hands and establish a total of seven participating copyists and characterise their writing.
