Abstract

Abstract

Foot drop can be due to neuropathic cause or vasculitic cause and in vasculitis it has been described but still uncommon. EGPA- Eosinophilic granulomatosiswith polyangitis is known to cause foot drop due to peroneal neuropathy and in our patient she presented with foot drop and diligent evaluation of causes ledto the diagnosis. Early focused diagnosis is the key to appropriate treatment. Systemic vasculitis can affect small, medium sized vessels and also large vessels.Vasculitis itself needs adequate history and examination unless cutaneous features are present but foot drop caused by mononeuritis multiplex resulting fromvase nervorum ischemia is all the more important. Surgical causes also needed to excluded and Nerve conduction study may also be useful. We present thiscase for rarity and learning for our readers.
