The purpose of the research. This article examines the possibility of transferring criminal cases to a jury trial for those accused of committing a crime(s) in the sphere of entrepreneurial and other economic activities. It also examines how this initiative will be implemented, the list of crimes in the sphere of entrepreneurial and other economic activities for which criminal cases can be considered by this type of court, and the challenges and prospects for assigning this category of criminal cases to the jurisdiction of a jury. The purpose of the study is to theoretically substantiate and develop proposals for the application of the institution of trial by jury in the consideration of criminal cases involving crimes in the sphere of entrepreneurial and other economic activities. Results. As a result of the study, the author concludes that criminal cases involving crimes in the sphere of entrepreneurial and other economic activities should be considered by a jury. This will contribute to increasing the level of legal protection for entrepreneurs, ensuring greater fairness and objectivity of sentences, and strengthening public trust in the judicial system. The author proposes amending Article 30 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Russian Federation by expanding the list of cases subject to jury trial to include crimes in this area. This will ensure the implementation of the principle of adversarial proceedings and equality of arms, as well as enhance guarantees of the rights, freedoms, and legitimate interests of individuals and citizens in criminal proceedings.
