Abstract
The author analyses, among the special effects of onerous contracts, in particular warranty for defects, product warranty, and product liability. It is concluded that warranty for defects constitutes the transferor's guarantee and liability for the conformity of the transferred item. Product warranty represents the manufacturer's guarantee for the safety and proper quality of the product, whereas product liability refers to the manufacturer's liability for damages where a defective product has caused harm to the consumer, particularly with regard to life, physical integrity, and health.
