Abstract
This article proposes a theological reflection on the role of Christian institutions in promoting peace and global justice, in dialogue with the goals of UN SDG 16. The methodology is essayistic and analytical in nature, based on a literature review and dialogue between theology, Christian ethics, and social sciences. It is justified by the urgency of rethinking the public role of the Christian religion in the face of escalating violence and global and institutional crises. The objective is to demonstrate how Christian religiosity, inspired by Romans 12:18, can contribute to the construction of more just and peaceful societies. The expected results point to the valorization of the Christian faith as an ethical and transformative force. Morin (2011), Fraser (2022), Montero (2012), Tolstoy (1994), Murad (2019), and Cafezeiro et al. (2020), among other theoretical references, are highlighted as the basis for this study.
