Abstract The paper examines a specific mechanism governed by parliamentary law in the Slovak Republic, the abbreviated legislative procedure. Its purpose is to ensure the parliamentary efficiency in situations expressly provided for in the Rules of Procedure of the National Council. The paper highlights the Constitutional Court’s approach to reviewing the recourse to this procedure and evaluates the subsequent conclusions reached by the Constitutional Court.
