Abstract
Abstract
This article provides a comprehensive scientific analysis of the sociocultural, spiritual, and educational significance of holidays and festivals in preserving folk culture, ethno- cultural identity, and national identity within the development of modern society. It substantiates that holidays are not merely social entertainment events, but serve as vital cultural mechanisms that transmit the historical memory, national traditions, and values of a nation from generation to generation. The study highlights the role and functional capabilities of traditional and modern festivals in countering mass culture and its unifying pressure under conditions of globalization. Furthermore, the article explores effective socio-pedagogical factors for shaping the cultural and national identity of youth during their socialization, enhancing their respect and pride for national heritage, and preserving objects of intangible cultural heritage. The conclusions drawn serve to ensure the integration of national and universal values in the education of the younger generation.
