Abstract
Abstract
Root-knot nematode (Meloidogyne incognita) remains an important pest in corn production across the southeastern United States, affecting early-season vigor and yield potential. This study evaluated the performance of Tidal Grow nematicides, Spectra, and Spectra combined with Averland, in a 2025 field trial at the Plant Breeding Unit in Tallassee, AL. Both Spectra alone and Spectra + Averland reduced nematode egg densities numerically. These results indicate that Tidal Grow nematicides performed consistently under the environmental and nematode conditions present in 2025 at early growth stage. Continued multi-year evaluation is warranted to determine the reliability and potential benefits of these products for improving corn productivity in root-knot nematode infested fields.
