Abstract
The article examines the current situation in the sphere of production, transmission and consumption of thermal energy for heat supply purposes in the Pechenga municipal district. The structure of heat energy production by boiler houses by fuel type, the structure of heat loads by consumer groups of the urban-type settlement of Nikel and the city of Zapolyarny have been determined. The performance indicators of boiler houses in the district's populated areas, technical characteristics of boiler equipment of the main boiler houses, and tariffs for thermal energy in populated areas are given. To modernize and develop heat supply systems, it is proposed to consider the issue of building mini-CHP plants with gas turbine units and building electric boiler houses using wind turbines.
