Abstract
Abstract
This article investigates the manifestation of phatic speech acts through nonverbal communication channels. It analyzes how facial expressions, gestures, eye contact, and body language function to establish, maintain, and terminate social contact. The findings reveal that nonverbal cues can either reinforce verbal utterances or independently fulfill phatic functions to ensure smooth interpersonal interaction.
