Comment la communaute des hommes gais d'Edmonton percoit-elle la bibliotheque en termes d'information en rapport avec l'homosexualite masculine ? Les recherches dont cet article fait etat compensent en partie le manque de donnees empiriques concernant l'acquisition de collections visant a repondre aux besoins des hommes gais. Les donnees ont ete recueillies a partir d'un questionnaire a remplir soi-meme ; 46 personnes ont rempli le questionnaire dont 36 avaient utilise la bibliotheque au cours de l'annee precedente et 25 avaient cherche a se renseigner sur l'homosexualite. Les resultats indiquent que pendant l'etape de l'affirmation de l'orientation sexuelle, la bibliotheque publique s'etait averee la source la plus riche d'informations sur l'homosexualite. Un grand nombre de ceux qui s'y etaient adresses, cependant, n'etaient pas satisfaits des documents disponibles. Les ameliorations suggerees : augmenter la collection sur les hommes gais, fournir des informations plus actuelles, s'abonner a des revues gaies. Bien que la bibliotheque collectionne un grand nombre de titres, les resultats semblent indiquer que les hommes gais n'en sont pas informes
