Abstract
Abstract
This narrative poem explores miscarriage as an embodied and emotional experience that often remains socially minimized despite its profound significance in women’s reproductive lives. Through the intimate perspective of a woman in the days following pregnancy loss, the poem reflects on bodily recovery, interrupted maternal imagination, and the limits of well-intentioned consolation. By attending to ordinary objects, bodily processes, and quiet acts of remembrance, the poem seeks to illuminate how reproductive loss is lived, carried, and remembered beyond clinical language.
