Abstract
Abstract
A one‐pot synthesis of KOTeF5 without hazardous fluorosulfonic acid is presented. KOTeF5 can easily be protonated to HOTeF5 with sulfuric acid. The intermediate KOTeF4Cl and the corresponding acid HOTeF4Cl are fully characterized. A synthesis of the important OTeF5 transfer reagents AgOTeF5 and TMSOTeF5 starting from the now readily available KOTeF5 was developed as well.
