The rapid development of financial technology has accelerated the emergence of a cashless society in Indonesia. One of the most significant innovations supporting this transformation is the Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard (QRIS), initiated by Bank Indonesia as a national standardized digital payment system. This study aims to analyze the growth of QRIS and its impact on Indonesia’s digital business ecosystem. The research employs a descriptive qualitative approach through a literature study using secondary data from scientific journals, official reports, and statistical publications. The findings indicate that QRIS adoption has increased significantly, with more than 45 million users and over 30 million merchants by 2025. QRIS contributes to transaction efficiency, financial inclusion, and the acceleration of MSME digitalization. In addition, QRIS strengthens the integration between the digital economy and modern trade systems through interoperable and low-cost payment mechanisms. However, several challenges remain, including digital literacy disparities, cybersecurity risks, and unequal technological infrastructure. This study concludes that QRIS plays a strategic role in accelerating Indonesia’s digital economic transformation and has the potential to become a foundation for a sustainable and inclusive digital payment ecosystem.
