تسعى هذه الدراسة إلى تحليل الأبعاد السياسية والجمالية في قصيدة الشاعر عبد الله البردوني "عراف المغارتين"، من ديوانه الاخير رجعة الحكيم بن زايد وقد كُتبت هذة القصيدة عقب أول انتخابات برلمانية جرت بعد تحقيق الوحدة اليمنية. وتُعد القصيدة نموذجًا متفرّدًا في الأدب اليمني الحديث لما تحمله من رؤية نقدية حادة، تمزج بين الحس الشعري العميق والوعي السياسي الثاقب، مما يجعلها نصًا أدبيًا منخرطًا بفاعلية في نقد الواقع السياسي والاجتماعي. تنطلق الدراسة من منهج تحليلي نقدي يسعى إلى تفكيك البنية الرمزية واللغوية في النص الشعري للكشف عن دلالاته العميقة، وتحديد الكيفية التي يوظف بها البردوني الرمز الشعري كأداة فنية لفضح زيف الممارسة الديمقراطية في اليمن. وتتناول الورقة أيضًا البنية الخطابية للقصيدة بوصفها خطابًا مقاومًا يفضح آليات السلطة الاستبدادية المقنّعة، التي اتخذت من الشعارات الديمقراطية واجهة لتكريس واقع القهر و تهميش الحقوق. وختامًا، تهدف الدراسة إلى إبراز البنية الرمزية والدلالية في القصيدة بوصفها أداة جمالية وفكرية تمكّن الشاعر من تقديم رؤية نقدية عميقة تكشف التناقض بين القيم الديمقراطية المعلن والممارسة السياسية الفعلية، مؤكدة أن البردوني، من خلال شعره، قد أسّس خطابًا أدبيًا يزاوج بين الجمال الفني والوعي النقدي يكشف من خلالها أكذوبة الديمقراطية الزائفة في اليمن.
