Introduction . This paper presents the results of surgical treatment of a left ventricular pseudoaneurysm in a 75-year-old female patient after bioprosthetic mitral valve replacement. Brief description . This life-threatening condition is extremely rare after heart surgery and is not part of the routine practice of cardiac surgeons. Discussion . Surgical treatment is the only radical option for saving this category of patients, although it is associated with a high risk. The aim was to demonstrate the successful surgical treatment of a left ventricular pseudoaneurysm in an elderly patient.
